On 19 March, I wrote that we'd see 1000 deaths in two weeks.
It's taken seven days to get to 1080 (a point in time today, it'll be different soon).
Deaths are doubling roughly every 2.5 days. If that continues, 8000 dead by 2 April. If it drops to every 5 days (can't see why it would), 8000 dead by 9 April. These are milestones. Look for them. They will tell you what to expect.
Remember that the number of deaths we see today is the result of actions taken roughly three weeks ago. The next three weeks are roughly baked in, and we can hope that some of the early mitigations are helping.
