Florida girl has abortion blocked
A 13 year old girl under the care of the state was denied an abortion by Justice Ronald Alvarez, who says she's too young and immature to make an informed medical decision, despite Florida law which explicitly does not require a minor to seek parental consent before an abortion.
Where's Tom DeLay when you need him?
So she's old enough to become pregnant, but not old enough to make the decision to remain so? I bet this judge knows whether she's old enough to make the decision to raise the child or give it up for adoption, too. For goodness sake, she's middle school-age.
This child (and she is still physically a child) is physically too young to have a baby per the medical profession, but not old enough to make up her own mind per the judicial profession.
I don't understand people who want to take choices away from other people. I just don't get it.
